Welcome to the website of the Minnesota Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Our chapter is made up of over six hundred healthcare financial professionals who are constantly striving to improve their profession and increase the quality of healthcare in Minnesota.

Our national theme this year, set by HFMA National Chairman Cathy Jacobson is “Making it Count”. Making it Count depends on leaders who are willing to take the extra step, take a chance, or make a difficult choice because they believe their actions will bring about a needed change or improve their organization. I believe this is an important message with the challenging economic times that our industry is going through.

Your Minnesota Chapter leadership has just gone through a day of planning for the coming year. We have a wonderful group of leaders who are committed to having a successful and fun year for all members.

I want to thank Ken Cornish for his leadership in the past year. The Minnesota Chapter had a tremendous year under his Presidency.

I urge you to browse through this website; you will find links to certification, careers, educational events and our chapter leaders. If you are not a member of HFMA, I ask that you consider joining.  If you are already a member, please become active, we have lots of fun and relatively easy tasks for volunteers. You can get a lot more out of HFMA by simply putting a little into it. You may contact any Chapter Leader to find out about volunteer opportunities.
