Corporate Controller

A 225-bed, non-profit, acute care facility with an active medical staff, including 250 physicians, provides high quality health services – delivered with compassion – to communities in Western Washington.
 
Ever-growing, the private, not-for-profit hospital has expanded by opening a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center and a Family Birth Center that are beyond equal in the area. The Family Birth Center enables the hospital to double its number of new births to 2,800 annually.
Additionally, the West Wing includes a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory that will provide clients a broad range of heart diagnostic services. There is also a plan to construct a Critical Care Center, new Cancer Center, and expand cardiovascular services.
 
Essential Job Functions:
Manage all the accounting and treasury functions
Responsible for the accounting functions of all affiliated entities of the parent corporation.
Supervises the general accounting, accounts payable, and payroll through supervision of the accounting supervisors and the general accounting staff.
Responsible for all external financial reporting including required Department of Health reporting, and any other fiscal report required by any regulatory agency.
Coordinate all activities required by external auditors for the parent company and its affiliates
Preparation or oversight of the monthly financial statements
Meets monthly with the Finance committee of the Board of Directors
Reports to the CFO
 
Position Requirements:
CPA Preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
Healthcare Experience Preferred
3-5 years in similar level position – 8 years accounting experience
Posses excellent technical skills with a track record of leadership in financial services
Can effectively cope with and facilitate change
Is energized by touch challenges
Genuinely cares about people
Warm and approachable
Builds rapport well
Is dedicated to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
Broadly shares both responsibility and accountability
